So when are the Olympics?
The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will officially run from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, August 11, with the Opening and Closing Ceremonies taking place on those days. Some sports competitions, such as handball, soccer and rugby, will begin in the early hours of July 24, but the majority of the competition will take place between the opening and closing ceremonies.
So where exactly will the Olympics take place?
All the events of the Paris Olympics are expected to take place in Paris. Built in the 1990s to improve France’s chances of hosting the 1998 FIFA World Cup, the Stade de France hosts a variety of sporting events, including the closing ceremony, rugby matches and athletics competitions.
