According to recent discoveries, Xiaomi is preparing to start large-scale production of SU7. The company is expected to soon reach production capacity of 2,000 units per month.
According to GizmoChina, the SU7 is positioned as a direct competitor to Tesla’s Model S, boasting great features such as sub-3 second acceleration and an 800V fast charging system.
Xiaomi, known for its affordable products, has competitively priced the SU7 in two versions. The SU7 RWD is $35,200 and the SU7 AWD is $55,000. The top-of-the-line model with CATL’s high-nickel 101kWh battery and powerful 495kW (664hp) output is expected to cross the $50,000 threshold.

Xiaomi’s self-driving SU7 demonstrates the company’s commitment to cutting-edge automotive technology, with high-resolution cameras, LiDAR, and ultrasonic sensors for autonomous functionality. The vehicle is built on Xiaomi’s in-house developed 800V electric vehicle architecture, Modena, and is integrated with the advanced Hyper OS for intelligent functionality and connectivity.
Xiaomi justifies the $35,200 to $50,000+ price range by emphasizing cutting-edge features, top-notch components, and the inclusion of proprietary hypercasting manufacturing technology.
