Our country is at a critical crossroads. Now, more than ever, we need Washington’s power. The challenges we face at home and abroad require unwavering leadership and a determined determination to strengthen America’s place on the world stage.
In my role as President Emeritus of the Bastion Institute, I have consistently emphasized the importance of strong and bold leadership to the security and prosperity of this great nation.
The world is becoming increasingly interconnected. The two oceans that once provided a buffer now seem inadequate. The ripple effects of international decisions are felt in the daily lives of all Americans. We must recognize the urgency of meeting these challenges and strive to unite some of our nation’s brightest minds to chart a course toward re-strengthening America’s global standing. It doesn’t have to be.

The recent chaotic withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, under President Biden’s watch, has left a scar on our international relations and undermined our credibility. China is rising in the Indo-Pacific, but even more frighteningly, in our own backyard, it is shipping fentanyl precursor chemicals to Mexico and increasing its influence across South America.

Here at home, the Chinese Communist Party is allowed to purchase American farmland near military installations and fly reconnaissance balloons from Alaska to South Carolina. Additionally, the situation on our southern border is unsustainable, with more than 160 people on the terrorist watch list entering our country on the President’s watch.
And as a result of unrestricted and unrestricted illegal immigration, human trafficking, and drug trafficking, every state has become a border state.
In the face of uncertainty, the Bastion Institute brings together the brightest minds in security and foreign policy and serves as a pioneer in collaboration and strategic thinking. The United States must embrace a strong national defense and rebuild and strengthen its alliances.

I’ve always believed in America first, but it’s never just America. We must once again become the chosen and steadfast partners, championing the values of life, liberty and opportunity for all, to ensure the stability of our nations.
Our federal government’s most important mission is, and must be, to protect the public. But now our government is failing. Only through steadfast leadership, strong partnerships, and a commitment to our values can we ensure a safe, secure, and prosperous future for all Americans. Together, we will once again make America a bastion of strength in this ever-changing world.
