And since having these experiences can often feel lonely, I thought it was important to share the responses of Reddit users. u/Jumpy_Ad_4583 thread, they Asked of r/ ask a woman Community: “What keeps you trying, though you’re always disappointed?” Here are some answers as well as some advice left by others.

“I’m reaching out to my friends. Before I deleted Facebook, no one liked or replied to my posts. I have social anxiety and it’s hard to take the first steps. But it’s even worse when no one seems to care.”

“Dating apps. It’s a process of downloading, entertaining, and deleting. Usually within 24 hours. You’ll learn someday.”

“My partner. Why don’t I give up? He clearly doesn’t care about me like I care about him.”
