If President Joe Biden is really going for a second term, he has to solve the problem of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Biden’s poll numbers aren’t all that much better than Harris’ at this point, but the latest poll by the Los Angeles Times found that as of this month, “41% of registered voters favor Harris.” 53% have unfavorable opinions (net evaluation is ~)”. 12 percentage points. As far as I can tell, some may wonder what 41% attributed Harris’ achievements to.
Republicans are likely to make issues in future campaigns about Mr. Biden’s age and whether Mr. Harris has the qualifications and smarts to run if something happens to him. It was always important in choosing a vice president.
Kamala Harris mocked for ‘nonsense’ comment at Transportation Roundtable: ‘She can’t be serious’
Harris may be a singular figure among modern vice presidents. The reason is that, if she were to apply for a second term, she would have the added burden of her lackluster résumé, plus her lack of articulation.
Earlier this month, at an Essence magazine event in New Orleans, Mr. Harris said something that no one could translate to me.
“Culture is (pause) a reflection of a moment in our time, right? And current culture is how we express our feelings about that moment. You have to find the time and express how you feel about the moment.” It’s a moment that reflects joy because, uh, it comes in the morning (laughter). We must also find a way to express what we feel about the moment just by having language, and it is related to how people experience life, I think so too. ”
I thought she was speaking in ciphers, and read her comment backwards, but it was even less clear.
The two women on stage with Ms. Harris are seen nodding as if they understood what she was saying. they should tell us.
Critics have called her diction “word salad.” She seems to randomly pick words from a dictionary without connecting verbs, thoughts, or associations.
I never thought anyone could describe Biden more clearly. With or without the teleprompter, she does.

A competent politician must be able to communicate with voters and the general public. Not all our presidents and vice presidents have the gift of speaking like Daniel Webster, Winston Churchill, or more recently Ronald Reagan, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton, but at least most The man spoke “King’s English” and could be understood.
Imagine Kamala Harris’ presidential address starting with “Good evening, folks in America,” and quickly declining to the level of her remarks in New Orleans. Worse, can she understand and articulate the administration’s foreign and domestic policies? She was tasked with doing something about the border, but she’s not doing anything. That’s mostly because she seems, in fairness to her, to want Biden to keep her borders open.

None of the achievements can be cited by the 41% of people who hold a favorable opinion of Mr. Harris.

That’s why Biden should be elected as the vice presidential nominee to replace her. She will face backlash from groups that have hailed her as her first female and vice president of color and seem more interested in her diversity than her actual accomplishments. .
If Mr. Biden wins and fails to finish a second term, the Democrats’ best insurance would be a stronger, more accomplished, and vocal vice president.
