In a TikTok video, Amber (@ambermj_) shared an experience she allegedly had at Crunch Fitness.
In the video, Amber claims she took the issue online because she felt the gym’s management was ignoring her concerns.
Amber said Jim has blocked her on all other platforms.
“The only reason I’m bringing it to TikTok is because Crunch Fitness in Spartanburg, South Carolina, has blocked me on every other social media platform,” she says.
Every time she posts a review on Google, Yelpdeleted.
“I’m not going to shut up,” she vows.
As of this writing, her videos have been viewed approximately 400,000 times.
What happened with Crunch Fitness?
Amber says she was excited when a Crunch Fitness store opened in her area.
“We finally have a really good gym upstate,” she says. “It was a 20-minute drive, but I loved Crunch.”
She claims things turned around when a Crunch Fitness employee she knew outside the gym started causing problems.
Amber said an employee, Sarah, accused her sister of having an affair with her husband, who worked at the front desk.
“My sister trying to get red light therapy, ordering an energy drink, or checking into the gym is not flirting with your husband,” says Amber.
the situation escalates
Amber said she noticed Sara viewing her TikTok profile around the same time she was hanging out with a former friend of Amber’s who had previously assaulted her.
Feeling uncomfortable, Amber decides to message Sarah directly. She said she was told, “I don’t want you to join my social media and show my content to the person who assaulted me.” Sarah allegedly called Amber “irrelevant” and accused her sister of continuing to have an affair with her husband.
Amber then claims that she and her sister reported Sara’s actions to the gym’s general manager, Brandi, but “Brandi did nothing. Absolutely nothing.”
She tells how her complaint was not addressed. She said security footage that would have shown Sarah’s actions has since been deleted.
Amber said she decided to publicize her reason for canceling her membership by tagging the gym on Instagram. Amber said Crunch’s social media manager initially responded and said she would forward her information to a regional manager.
However, after numerous attempts to follow up, Amber said she was blocked from Crunch Fitness Barber’s Instagram page.
She said she posted her story on other platforms, but each time the reviews were removed.
“We shouldn’t be silent. It’s not okay for this kind of behavior to happen,” Amber says. “What Sarah did to me and to other women was wrong and it’s not okay.”
“I have all the proof,” Amber concluded. “I’m not going to shut up and I’m going to keep publishing my reviews.”

In the caption of the video, Amber said TikTok finally inspired her to take action.
“She’s not going to work there anymore,” Amber wrote, but also said that Sara is now “trying to change her attitude and claim that we are harassing her.”
Amber believes that management remains a big issue.
She also pointed out that the gym had deleted all of its Google reviews. However, Yelp and Facebook reviews will still be visible.
“They also blocked me on TikTok,” she added.
Viewers share their experiences
In the comments, users described their own negative experiences with Crunch Fitness.
“This is my gym. I feel so uncomfortable when I go there,” one user wrote. “But it’s very difficult to cancel a membership and it seems like they don’t want me to do that.”
“This is crazy. I just went to the Spartanburg crisis to cancel my membership a month ago and now this has happened,” another wrote. “Going from 24/7 to closing at 10 a.m. has helped me, but this is my cup of tea.”
“Spartanburg fipe! That critical place is so shady all around,” a third person wrote. “Local ‘mom and pop’ gyms are great, just a little more expensive. I’m so sorry that this happened. ”
