The Buccaneers have six or seven weeks before returning to training camp and practicing. While the summer break means they won’t be performing at a high level, that doesn’t mean the Buccaneers haven’t made progress as a team after completing overtime and three minicamp practices.
There are several steps being taken regarding Tampa Bay’s roster. Proper focus That’s because each team is training with new players.
“I think the learning process went well, especially offensively,” head coach Todd Bowles said after the minicamp ended. “We also improved our communication on defense. We have a lot of young guys and we need to get a lot of practice in. A lot of guys practiced today, so we’re going to get a lot of practice in. We’ll probably get more practice in when training camp starts, but I think we finished in good shape.”

Before the team disbanded, the Bucks head coach had one final message for his players heading into the summer: While the national media may not expect much from the Bucks, he knows this team is on the verge of greatness. They have some tough opponents coming up, so they need to be at their best this season.
“It’s just about understanding what’s coming up,” Bowles said. “We’re playing both teams that are in the Super Bowl, all the teams that have been in the championship game, plus division teams and other teams. The schedule is going to be brutal. We know how hot it’s going to be in the summer. [so] Now I just want to get back in shape and be ready to compete. A lot can happen between here and the next month. Don’t be the guy that gets into trouble.”
As Bowles points out, Tampa Bay They travel to Detroit in Week 2 before facing a string of opponents from Weeks 8-11, including the Ravens, Falcons and Chiefs, as well as a home matchup against the 49ers, before heading to Dallas for a primetime game in Week 16.
It’ll be a challenge, but it’s also a great opportunity for the Buccaneers to prove themselves.

“Needless to say, [Ben] Bredeson [New York] “With the Giants, he comes in high,” Bowles said. “He’s not a very popular name, but he comes in high. [Sua Opeta]Both guards will be up. It’s going to be an incredible fight. I’m really excited to see it. [Tyrek] Funderburk is in. He’s the guy whose pads are out. Everyone else, they’ll have to take a look. [Eric] Banks has come on the scene. He’s shown us what we expect from the pads. We’ll just have to wait and see.”
