What Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck Were Doing the Day of Their Separation in April

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on Tuesday after two years of marriage, according to court documents obtained by “Extra.”

Notably, she lists the date of separation as April 26th, a date that, in retrospect, appears to have been spent by them on different coasts.

At the time, Jennifer Lopez was spotted looking a little down as she left her New York City apartment alone. Pictured above, she wore loose jeans and a beige sweater, accessorizing with hoop earrings, sunglasses, and a Birkin bag.

Meanwhile, Ben looked equally solemn as he left his Beverly Hills office around 9:30 that night. The Oscar winner was dressed casually in pants, a T-shirt, sneakers and a warm jacket. He was carrying a large bag.

Soon after, Bennifer surprised everyone by attending Tom Brady’s roast party in LA without her girlfriend on May 5, and then walked the Met Gala red carpet alone in New York on May 6.

Rumors of a breakup first sparked in May when the couple was spotted leaving Affleck’s Brentwood, California, home.

Lopez confirmed the breakup rumors in a filing on Tuesday.

According to TMZLopez filed the documents without a lawyer, and Jennifer listed the separation date as April 26. The documents make no mention of a prenuptial agreement, and sources told the outlet that the couple never signed one.

She has also waived her right to spousal support.

The two were married on July 16, 2022 in Las Vegas.

The date Jennifer chose to file her lawsuit, Aug. 20, is significant because it marks the second anniversary of her second, more lavish wedding in Georgia.

Just a few weeks ago, Affleck signed a purchase and sale contract on a Pacific Palisades home, further fueling rumors that the couple, who didn’t even make their second wedding anniversary together, were headed for divorce.

Ben and Jen recently put their co-op home on the market for $68 million.

Rumours of trouble in paradise have been swirling since Jennifer Lopez’s self-financed film “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story” was released in February, in which Ben makes a brief appearance.
