In a video posted on Sunday and viewed more than 688,000 times, TikToker Gianna (@jannamichelle6) stands in her kitchen holding an empty paper bag emblazoned with the Burger King logo.
“I want you guys to hear this: I fed my kid some chicken fries, and here’s this bag,” she said as she opened the bag. “You can see some residue.”
She then pans the camera to a plastic plate with chicken fries and some green chunks, some of which were falling apart.
“Do you see it on the side of the fried chicken?” she said, suggesting the green substance was marijuana.
The caption reads, “You can’t make this up!!!” I’m not looking for any aspect of this. ”
Will TikTokers get in trouble for mix-ups?
Although many states prohibit possession of marijuana, proving accidental possession may be difficult, Gianna shouldn’t have any trouble with the law.
According to ACLU of OhioResidents 21 and older can possess up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana for personal use. In that case, it was a good thing Gianna opened the bag before the kids did.
Viewers share their surprised reactions
Some commenters were appalled that marijuana could be mixed into children’s meals, while others said they would have liked to see an unexpected aspect to the fast food meal.
“I have mixed feelings because if this was in my child’s food I would be upset but if it was in mine I would be overjoyed,” one person wrote.
“What the hell did you order…?” Like…what exactly did you say to get that exact order? I’m asking for a friend,” another asked.
“I didn’t know you could get a Happy Meal at BK!” joked a third.
“I think our order got mixed up!!” added a fourth.
Others joked about her order, pointing out that “nugs” is common slang for clusters of marijuana buds.
“Did you ask for nugs??” a viewer asked.
“Well, you asked for nags!” one person joked.
“That must be ‘spicy nugs,'” said another.
Some viewers claim to have found a “similar side order” at the fast food chain, and insist this situation is not a one-off.
“Ohio State can confirm this is normal for Hamilton,” one person suggested.
“Previously there was a place to order this product from another store to have this done,” said another user.
“My old plug was serving the drive-thru and they put it in the same little bag,” a third person claimed.
