Extreme couponers have criticized Walmart’s treatment of shoppers who try to buy the grocery chain’s sale items, sometimes for as little as 3 cents.
In a video posted just two days ago, TikTok creator Kayla (@couponwithkayla.fan_0764) spliced together her own videos to show a Walmart customer allegedly getting arrested while trying to buy clearance items. The account associated with the video Kayla mentioned appears to be inactive as of Tuesday afternoon.
Kayla claimed she knows why people who try to buy affordable clothing at Walmart seem to be being penalized. The store has a large amount of clothing left in stock and would like to save the clothing for donation.
“Walmart has so many items left over that the company has told all of its stores, ‘Please do not sell these items.’ We’re going to donate them,” Kayla said in the video.
