Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Lax Hours
LAX’s Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse will be open to the public starting Friday and will be open daily from 11:30am to midnight.
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse LAX Layout
The new lounge is only 4,401 square feet and is rather small with rooms with around 75 guests at a time, but Virgin Atlantic’s design manager Lara Fleat said he is entitled to work with space constraints, considering that the airline team does so with the interior of the aircraft all the time.
The overall atmosphere was inspired not only by the airline’s signature jet setting iconography, but also by the entertainment industry. “Sir Richard Branson has a Hollywood star,” Virgin’s chief client and executive officer Korn Coster told the assembled media group. Los Angeles is one of the airline’s busiest destinations, with up to three daily flights from London in the summer, so it was no surprise that the next clubhouse would open at LAX with Los Angeles feeling it.
“We are trying to recreate the charm, style and passion of London’s clubhouse,” Coster said. “But the fun is that every clubhouse is different. We don’t want carbon copying. That’s not who we are.”
Witness, guests will notice artwork and photography that LA artists dot walls and small nods across the film industry. One of the more innovative features of the Clubhouse is being direct contact with Los Angeles. The lighting is designed to mimic the sunset and timing the sunset throughout the year to help passengers begin to adjust their circadian rhythm before flight.
Another touch fleet pointed out is the stylized “Ruby Red” carpet. This is a reference to the awards ceremony held in LA. This incorporates a variety of living room style seating areas and places to eat and work. “You’ll notice a lot of gorgeous fabrics and velvet,” Fleet pointed out while leading the tour. “These tactile qualities create Hollywood’s appeal.”

In one corner, guests can find a new clubhouse feature, the Royal Box. This semi-fly live space has two banquets and tables, as well as a special menu. According to Koster, passengers will be available to celebrate VIPs and special occasions. Fleat said he was not completely surrounded, as he was inspired by how Branson interacts with the clubhouse space. He enjoys the space that is far apart but still feels connected to lounge activity.
Back in the main area, there is an entertainment venue with a large flat-screen TV that Guest can view from a row of low-haired chairs using a Bluetooth headset. There are also cute souvenir displays, including T-shirts, bags and even airline’s famous salt and pepper shakers that can be purchased online.
However, what holds the entire clubhouse down is a vast staff bar where attendants confuse various cocktails with healthy non-alcoholic drinks. “The bar is really the stage for our beautiful team to do their job,” Fleet said.
Guests can stop on one of the pink stools and complete last-minute work thanks to the wireless charging surface and abundant USB-A and USB-C ports, as well as power plugs. The entire section of the bar is designed to be lower than the main counter for wheelchair access. “It’s not just one or two places with a bar that feels like an afterthought, but a place where you can all feel alone,” Flet said. “We designed this accessibility feature for conversation.”
Beyond the bar and cafe-style seating area, there are three privacy booths for work. The two have regular desks and a high counter that can be a standing desk, all decorated with famous albums.

Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Lax Food and Beverages
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse is known for its dynamic and healthy food menu. There is a small self-service buffet with items such as fruit, crudites, salads and more.
Guests can also order meals throughout the day, as they are delivered to the table using QR codes.
Items on the menu we found were Belgian waffles with yogurt, berries and almonds. And for breakfast there was honey, agave, cinnamon and oatmeal.
Later that day, the flyer discovers a venison burger, fish and chips, chicken tikka masala, fish tacos, and an ultra-lightweight, flavorful California fig salad with goat cheese, sand dune filter paper and tanned tomatoes.
It includes beers and cider like Santa Monica Brewworks IPA, as well as wines such as Nicolas Feyratte Champagne, Pine Ridge Chenin Blanbionnier and Da Cabernet Sauvignon.
When it comes to cocktails, of course, you can order the airline’s signature redheads with special cocktails called Drama Queen, featuring classics like Prosecco, Berry Liqueur, Gin, classics like Bloody Mary and Margarita, essentially a berry-scented smoke.
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Lax Amenities
In addition to the various seating areas, the Virgin Atlantic Luxe Clubhouse features the airline’s first Zen Den, a meditation and training space inspired by Los Angeles’ wellness culture.
