Vince Vaughn chatted with “Extra’s” Melvin Robert as he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
He said of the honor, “I’m happy to be a part of the city…it’s a great honor.”
Melvin noted that many fans visit the Hollywood Walk of Fame with dreams of making it big in the industry. Vince said, “I was definitely one of those people when I first came here and walked around at age 18. I was in awe of all the stars and names. I hope it continues to be an inspiration to everyone who enjoys movies and television.”
Vince’s two children, Locklyn, 13, and Vernon, 11, with wife Kayla Weber, were also in attendance for the big day, and spoke about how becoming a father has changed Vince.
“I think it makes me more patient and I feel a love that I can’t put into words,” Vaughn said. “We laugh a lot and have a lot of fun. Every day is so much fun with them.”
The actor also spoke about how much he was inspired by his hard-working parents.
He said: “I was very lucky to have parents, they worked so hard for me. [in] And the sacrifices they made… I saw them do so much for us, and work so hard. I saw not only their sacrifices, but the sacrifices and efforts of their parents and generations. I always felt blessed to have their prayers and their support.”
Speaking about his upcoming TV series “Bad Monkey,” he said: “It’s a lot of fun and entertaining. It has some unexpected twists and turns and it’s an intriguing crime story.”
“Bad Monkey” will premiere on Apple TV+ on August 14th.
