Plans to move the campus of St. Augustine College of Health Sciences in St. Augustine, Florida from its current home of more than 40 years to a purpose-built facility that provides more available space and supports the university’s growth vision in progress. Located just two miles west of the current campus, his redesigned 122,000-square-foot building on 14 acres of beautiful parkland represents an exciting new chapter in USAHS history.
Totaling approximately $74 million, the new campus reflects USAHS’ continued commitment to the future of health sciences and investment in student success.
“Our current St. Augustine campus has approximately 1,024 students. This new campus will help graduates achieve long-term success as effective, interdisciplinary problem solvers and professional leaders. We want to expand our enrollment by providing a useful and immersive experience,” said Stephanie Furlough-Morris, CFO, SVP Campus Operations.
USAHS President and Chief Executive Officer Vivian A. Sanchez said:
“This expansion will allow us to continue to fill the practitioner gap and meet the diverse needs of hospitals and medical facilities in St. Augustine and other communities we serve in all 50 states. ‘s new campus demonstrates our commitment to the wider community.”

The new site includes the university’s leading Center for Innovative Clinical Practice, featuring a ward simulation with 14 beds, two complex hospital rooms, and six evaluation rooms to practice the doctor’s office scenario. Includes extensive updates and improvements. “Activities of daily life” labs that simulate a home environment, observation rooms that allow real-time observation and review of student scenarios, and state-of-the-art simulation technology.

Additionally, an anatomy lab for cadavers and anatomy, a research lab, four hands-on labs, four learning studios, a recording studio for professional video and class lecture production, and upgraded AV/IT technology throughout the space will be An expansive student lounge, study spaces with student assistive technology, faculty offices, workspaces, meeting rooms, enhanced student amenities and 490 parking spaces complete the expansion.

The new St. Augustine campus is scheduled to be completed next year and will be ready to host its first batch of students in the fall of 2024.
