UFC strawweight fighter Loopy Godinez is gearing up for a big change. She’s excited to switch her full-time training to Lobo’s gym in Guadalajara, Mexico. Godinez has trained at this gym occasionally in the past, but her primary training location has been Titan MMA in Canada. From now on, she will train exclusively at Robogym under Francisco Grasso.
Godinez believes this change is important to her career growth.in an interview with MMA Junkieshe said, “The battle is going to get tougher, and we’ve seen the work they do, and I’ve actually worked with them in the past.We get along really well with the whole team, the coaches, so that’s the best thing about my career.”
At Robogym, he will train with UFC flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and UFC title challenger Irene Aldana. Godinez holds these fighters in high esteem and their presence in her gym was the main reason she wanted to train there.
Godinez explained:I was a big fan of Alexa and Irene so I was looking for them. I thought it would be cool to train with them and it worked. We have developed a really great friendship and now I belong to Lobo and am part of its gym.really happy”
Godinez recently rode a wave of success with a win over former Invicta FC Champion Emily Ducote at UFC Vegas 73. It was her second straight win and her fourth in her last five games.
Godinez, whose career is on the rise, believes joining the Robogym team will bring her closer to her goal of becoming a UFC champion. She told MMA Junkie: “The results are coming and I think the team likes me a lot. It’s all about getting better as a fighter, as an athlete, and sometimes you have to make changes to keep growing.”
The move represents a big step forward for Godinez and her professional MMA career. Robogym is known for its superior training regimens and its track record of rapid improvement in fighters. The gym already has UFC flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and Irene Aldana, who will challenge for the bantamweight title in June.
