UFC strawweight fighter Angela Hill has revealed she was the target of online trolls from Michelle Waterson’s mother ahead of her fight with Mackenzie Dern.
Hill recently took to Twitter to expose abusive comments made by Waterson’s mother on a social media post. In a video posted on her Twitter account, Hill showed the following comment left by Waterson’s mother:The UFC wants you to retire. That’s why they made you fight Daan. Lose by 1 round decision”.
Hill went on to visit Waterson’s mother’s account and confirmed that she was the one who made the comments. The 14th-ranked female strawweight fighter then shared her findings on Twitter, where she wrote:You guys, Waterson’s mother is trolling me, I don’t know if I should be pissed off or flattered”.
Hill and Waterson met in September 2020, with Waterson winning by split decision. Many fans believed Hill was the rightful winner of the match, but the judge’s decision favored Waterson. Since then, Waterson has lost three fights in a row, while Hill has managed to turn his UFC career around by winning two straight.
This Saturday, May 20, Hill will face Mackenzie Dern in a round 5 headline fight at UFC Vegas 73. Her Hill’s recent winning streak puts her in an advantageous position to face No. 8 ranked women’s strawweight Dern. With her impressive batting skills and her experience in the Octagon, Hill has the potential to win three in a row and cement her status as a top contender in the division.
