Television actor Chunisha Sharma allegedly committed suicide Saturday on the set of a serial in Vasai, Palgarh district, Maharashtra, and her co-star Shiezhan Mohammed Khan has been charged with facilitating suicide. .
The 20-year-old went to the bathroom on set and didn’t come back for a while. She was found hanging inside when her door broke down. People on set took the actor to the hospital, where she was declared dead.
A police team was present at the scene, said Senior Inspector Kailash Bab of the Warib Police Department. People on set say Chunisha Sharma died by suicide, but officers say they are investigating from all angles.
Booked by her mother’s appeal, the actor and co-star had a lead role in the show Alibaba: Dastan-e-Kabul, and she was spotted hanging on the set.
She started acting as a child actor in the Sony TV show ‘Maharana Pratap’ where she played the role of Chand Kanwar. Since then, she has appeared in several shows and Bollywood films, most notably playing the childhood role of Katrina Kaif’s character.
Tunisha Sharma was active on Instagram just hours before her death. She posted a photo of her filming set, which she captioned, “People driven by passion don’t stop.”
