Travis Kelce talks about making his debut on Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour!
Kelsea took to the stage with Taylor in London on June 23 to talk about the big event in the “New Heights” season 2 finale. Podcasts With his brother, Jason Kelsey.
In the new episode that aired on July 3, Travis revealed that it was his idea to perform with Taylor onstage at Wembley Stadium.
“When I first mentioned it to Tay,” Travis told Jason, “I thought, how funny would it be to go out on a motorcycle in the 1989 era?”
Swift laughed it off, but then asked, “Are you sure you’re going to do that?” he said.
“I just thought, ‘You know what? I’d love to do that, but are you kidding me? I’ve seen enough of the show, I might as well work here,'” the Kansas City Chiefs player recalled.
“Sure enough, she found the perfect part for me to be in,” he said.
Travis did not make his debut on a bicycle, calling it the “safest option” due to the possibility of him bumping into someone else or being hit by one of the dancers.
Instead, he came out in a tuxedo and top hat and carried Taylor across the stage right after she sang “The Smallest Man in History.”
Travis confessed that his biggest worry was not dropping Taylor. He said, “I kept telling myself, ‘Don’t drop the baby. Don’t drop Taylor on the way off the couch. The golden rule was, ‘Don’t drop Taylor. Get her safely to the couch.'”
While she changed costumes for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” he pretended to put powder on her face as part of the scene and performed some dance moves.
Travis told Jason that the moves were a homage to Jim Carrey’s tap dancing scene in “Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu.”
“I’ve always wanted to use this move but never knew when it would make sense,” he said, adding, “It’s one of my favorite moves ever!”
Travis was full of praise for Taylor, calling her a “true showman” and saying it was an “honor” to be on the show.
Kelsey continued, “It was so awesome. It was such a fun, playful part of the show and a great time for me to get on stage and just goof around and have fun. Not only with her, but with the audience, we really tried to get everyone fired up for the rest of the show. It was awesome.”

Recalling the moment the audience realized it was him onstage, Travis said: “When everyone realized it was me, it was pretty shocking in that moment because it took them a moment to realize it. I was just like, ‘Oh crap.'”
He added that the stage felt huge, “It’s the size of a football stadium… it’s a lot bigger than I imagined it would be.”
Overall, he said the experience was “great,” with Travis insisting that he “didn’t disappoint Taylor, and that’s all that really matters.”
He also hinted at the possibility of another appearance: “Maybe this won’t be the last. You’ll have to keep coming to the Eras tour to see if I jump off stage and stuff,” he teased.
After the London show, Travis attended the third night of Taylor’s Dublin shows, where he recounted meeting Julia Roberts and Stevie Nicks.
He noted that a “fabulous” Julia was “having fun” with Stevie in the VIP tent.
Trav also spoke glowingly about spending time at a bar with Stevie later that night.
“She’s exactly what you’d imagine her to be,” he says. “She’s so amazing. When you meet people like this, sometimes you think, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing here. You’re incredible. I’m just a jabroni cheering on my girlfriend.’ It’s so much fun.”
