Tom Felton chatted with Mona Kosar Abdi of “Extras” at the 78th Annual Tony Awards. It’s a few days after he was announced to recreate the role of Draco Malfoy in “Harry Potter” and make his Broadway debut in “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
“Well, that really makes my moment a bit of a pinch,” he said. “I think I woke up thinking that I was dreaming of this happening for me. I didn’t see it coming and I couldn’t be excited to step into my old shoes, but in a very new light, if not the largest city in the world.”
And he tried the wig!
“Wigs, costumes… I don’t lie, when the wig came a little, it was a little mist, it was a little mist… I don’t know, I didn’t think I could have seen my hair bleach blonde again… I couldn’t be more excited… I had a big fan of the show, a big fan of Broadway, an actor dream come true and everyone was looking forward to joining the community so far.”
When he takes the stage, he shares his mom being in the audience.
