Todd Bowles said the difference today was QB Baker Mayfield had a great game:
“We’re just playing together. We’ve established the run. They didn’t play us two-high last week, so we got both things going a little bit better and got them off balance and Baker made some plays.” ”
Baker Mayfield’s Todd Bowles throws touchdowns to four different wide receivers:
“That’s huge for us. By not putting pressure on those two, it’s creating opportunities for other players and they’re starting to show results and we’ll be playing some great team football in December.”
Todd Bowles on WR Chris Godwin having a big game:
“Big game for him. You said we’re going to be a very dangerous team when Chris and Mike (Evans) go down at the same time.”
Todd Bowles talked about what Mayfield playing in Tampa Bay means to the team.
“He meant everything. From a mental standpoint to a quarterback standpoint making plays. From a toughness standpoint. From a leadership standpoint. He did it all. He checked every box. I can’t say enough about him because he’s doing all the right things right now.”

Todd Bowles missing LB Devin White:
“Well, I deactivated him based on him saying he couldn’t go today, so if he couldn’t go today, I deactivated him.”
Todd Bowles said this about White not being able to play due to injury.
“Probably a question for him, but I think he said his leg hurts. He told me he couldn’t go, so we played the players that had to play.”
Todd Bowles had this to say about why he had such a perfect game:
“We finished playing two minutes off the field and on defense. We scored on offense before the first half. Special teams, they didn’t hurt us too much. We were good with field goals. We played the running game well enough. We went ahead and closed out the game at the end. We got some great stops on defense and were able to get our passing game going. December football is kind of a build-up for us. We’re growing in confidence. The young players are growing so we just have to keep pushing.”
Todd Bowles talks about playing safety Kayvon Meriwether:
“He’s done a great job. You forget he’s playing with a lot of guys over there that are under a year old, under two years old, and now they have a lot of rookies playing. He’s playing and practicing as if he was there. This game is not too big for him and I trust him enough that I don’t worry about him when he’s in the game.”
Todd Bowles had this to say about the balance of the Bucks’ offense.
“That’s good for us. We’re playing like normal on the offensive line, we’re confident in our receivers, our receivers are confident in our running backs and tight ends, everything’s turned around, we’re all are playing together.”

Todd Bowles talks about LB KJ Britt’s play:
“KJ is playing three-for-three right now. He’s playing very good football. I don’t know if he’s lost his starting spot. He’s settled into the starting spot. We go every week and play there. He definitely earned a lot of playing time.
Todd Bowles on Jordan Love running away from the sack:
“He’s a good athlete. He’s a very good athlete. We missed him a few times, he got out of the pocket, and we missed him not being able to get them out of the pocket. We knew he was dangerous. We were there, so now we just have to make plays.”
Todd Bowles talked about linebacker Devin White not being able to play due to a foot injury.
“That’s certainly true.”
On Todd Bowles’ defense against the Packers offense:
“I thought they held up in the first coverage. Once the play breaks down and the quarterback starts scrambling and making plays, we have to be persistent. We have to do a better job there. I don’t think we should, but overall, between (Jamel) Dean and (Christian) Igian, the ball didn’t go over their heads. (Romeo) Doo did no harm to us, he was their best. Best guy. I understand that (Aaron) Jones can come back and play downstairs, but overall I think they did a good job.”
Todd Bowles said of the early celebration from David More that put the Bucs in jeopardy of a touchdown.
“Oh, God. I know he’s milliseconds away from missing it and getting cursed.”

Todd Bowles talked about how he feels about his team moving up in the standings right now.
“Talk about December football. We’re playing great December football right now. We’ve won three and have three games left, but we can’t rest, we can’t stop. We have to keep working.”
Todd Bowles says it was Blue Bag (Chips Ahoy) night:
“Oh, definitely.”
