kuala lumpur: Time dotCom Bhd (Time) has completed a transaction with a fund affiliated with New York-listed DigitalBridge Group Inc to accelerate the expansion of AIMS Group’s (AIMS) data center business across Asia. We have entered into a strategic partnership.
In a statement today, the telecommunications provider said the closing of the transaction puts both parties well-positioned for the rapid and tactical expansion of its data center facilities across major and secondary cities in ASEAN and beyond. I said yes.
“We are focused on providing best-in-class services to multinational corporations, large enterprises, content providers, internet infrastructure providers and financial institutions.
The plan will make Malaysia a core hub and gateway for increasing connectivity in the region, with AIMS at its core as a key platform for expanding data center space around a highly connected ecosystem.
“We are excited to embark on the next chapter of AIMS’ journey to become Asia’s leading data center provider. DigitalBridge’s global experience in other markets will be important in our expansion plans.” We believe it will serve as an effective accelerator,” said Afzal Abdul Rahim, Time’s commander-in-chief.
Justin Chang, Head of Asia at DigitalBridge, said the Global Digital Infrastructure Investment division is looking forward to building a state-of-the-art interconnected data center platform in the region.
“We believe that the combination of Time, AIMS and DigitalBridge is very powerful and can rapidly accelerate business growth.” – Bernama
