It’s easy enough to guess what that term is self motivation That said, it’s not always easy to find spontaneous ways to motivate yourself. . .
Self-motivation comes from within. It’s an inside job!
However, the act or practice of tapping into self-motivational streams can be difficult to initiate, let alone sustain.
Especially if you’re not feeling particularly motivated right now, and you reading this probably aren’t. (That’s fine, because it’s good to recognize your current emotions and evaluate them as a starting point to embark on your self-motivational journey.)
It’s actually part of being human and it happens to everyone, but there are also ways to get over it.
Intrinsic (internal) motivation comes from within. Only you can control the amount you receive.
Motivation comes from two sources. From within yourself and from outside.
extrinsic (external) motivation It can be positive, such as receiving love from your children, or negative, such as your boss threatening to fire you. You cannot control this kind of motivation. This depends on the receiving external source.
Intrinsic (intrinsic) motivationOn the other hand, it comes from within. Only you can control the amount you receive. So once you find it and discover how to maintain it, this inner self-motivation becomes like an endless well that you can draw on at any moment.
Hmm, that sounds tempting, but how do you get there?
The first step is to take inventory of your current thinking. As we always say, a positive mindset is the gateway to a rich and fulfilling life.
The first component of self-motivation is the mindset
Having a positive mindset starts with self-talk. How you interact with yourself matters. It’s an important time.
Perhaps you’ve heard of water molecule experiments? Scientist Dr. Masaru Emoto writes: Message hidden in Water We labeled the various drops with powerful words like “love” and “hate.” He then put these molecules under the microscope and confirmed his statement that our words matter. The word conveys powerful vibrations that can change the entire composition of water molecules. Similar experiment The same results were obtained in plants.
Self-motivation is like an endless well that is always available at all times.
Applying this concept to ourselves, do the thoughts we think water the garden of our minds or water the weeds?
Self-talk is therefore the first step towards spontaneity. Every thought that belittles your progress, questions your worth, or incites fear diminishes your chances of motivating yourself. Conversely, any thought that increases self-confidence, heightens self-awareness, and deepens self-love leads you to a gateway to spontaneity.
Congratulations! You found your way there. You have arrived at the entrance that motivates you from within. So? How do you open doors, walk through them, and stay in this new state?
Every thought that belittles your progress, questions your worth, or incites fear diminishes your chances of motivating yourself.
First, find ways to feed this inner motivation. Then add consistency and create routines based on that. What are some ways to nurture your inner motivation?
The power of affirmation for self-motivation
Self-motivation likes affirmations. Affirming what you want to focus on is a powerful mindset exercise. And self-motivation begins with a positive and powerful mindset.
Affirmations are powerful statements of “I am”. agree with (or validate) a particular belief or feeling.
Suppose you want to create an affirmation to boost your confidence. Create an “I am” statement like this: I can achieve whatever I set my mind to. i believe in myself! Repeat it to yourself or say it to yourself in the mirror and really feel it resonate throughout your being. Believe please!
Spontaneous people also love to enjoy inspiration. Read inspirational quotes and stories and notice how your motivation increases. Reflect on or journal about the attributes of someone who inspires you, and watch how you motivate yourself.
Developing inner motivation comes in many forms, but as long as it lights you up, there’s no wrong answer.
Many people are attracted to guided meditations and breathing exercises. These practices help focus and calm the mind (the key to noticing self-talk), returning it to a state of equilibrium where creativity and inspiration can flourish.
Others enjoy qigong, yoga, pilates, dance, or other forms of mindful movement that inspire confidence, require self-discipline, and consequently increase self-motivation.
