The 2nd edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival (RedSeaIFF), which runs from 1-10 December 2022, today announced the winners of the Red Sea Competition section. Earlier this evening, the star-studded world premiere of ‘Valley Road’ by award-winning Saudi writer and director Khaled Fahd, starring Hamad Farhan, Naif Khalaf and Asir Omran, wrapped up the festival.
Celebrating cinematic daring and innovation, the Hussour Prize is the region’s largest award for both new and established voices across fiction, documentary, animation and virtual reality formats. The awards ceremony this evening consisted of international talent from across the film industry and was presented in a glittering ceremony hosted by presenters Raya Abirachid and Mo Islam.
A prestigious award that shines a light on cinema from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Asia and Africa, now in its second edition, the Red Sea International Film Festival will be able to highlight the reach and immense talent of the region and beyond. The awards were presented by an international panel of renowned filmmakers and industry heavyweights.
Academy Award-winning and internationally renowned actor and filmmaker Jackie Chan was honored with the Golden Uther Honorary Award tonight, recognizing his unparalleled talent and contributions to the industry as a legendary actor. , paved the way as a director, producer and stuntman. Jackie Chan joins Uther honorary award winners Yusra, Shah Rukh Khan and Guy Ritchie at the festival’s opening ceremony.

About the Red Sea International Film Festival
The second edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival presents the best Arab and international films in Jeddah. The festival will also present a retrospective program celebrating the masters of cinema. The Red Sea International Film Festival is a platform for connecting Arab filmmakers and industry professionals from around the world to host short and feature film competitions and host masterclasses to support emerging talent. It will take place from December 1st to 10th, 2022.
