For more than 50 years, Gallup polls have asked the public what they think of our system. Last week, Gallup released its financial results for the year, and the results were very worrying.
Only one in four Americans trust the president or the Supreme Court. I have less than half that confidence in the Congress I work for. But it’s not just the government that has lost the trust of the American people.
According to Gallup, the percentage of Americans who have “extremely” or “extremely” trust in the church, health care system, Supreme Court, public schools, newspapers, TV news, banks, and the presidency, respectively, is higher than it was 50 years ago. It has halved since the survey began. But again, Congress is the least trusted, with confidence dropping from 42% for him to just 7% for him.
This comes just after another poll showed patriotism plummeting again, a large increase in the number of people who consider our country morally “poor,” and a sharp decline in marriages. It happened a few days later.
Americans see the military as overly politicized.Half of nations worry Pentagon is too ‘awakened’
These numbers should sound alarm bells for anyone interested in the country.
I believe they are also a scathing indictment of the country’s strong shift to the left over the past 50 years. According to Gallup, small businesses and the military are the only organizations that have gained widespread respect over the past 50 years.
What do these two institutions have in common? They have been a stronghold of resistance against the American Left. Small businesses are resisting demands for higher taxes and regulations, and the military is completely out of politics.
No wonder Democrats in Washington are trying so hard to catch them.
Through the tireless efforts of President Donald Trump, we can see that trust in our institutions is slowly starting to grow again. But over the past two years, the Left has been obsessed with transforming the military from the world’s greatest killing machine into a mere organ of liberal social engineering. It’s no surprise that confidence in our military has already dropped by double digits since Joe Biden took office.
GOP congresswoman accuses Pentagon of prioritizing ‘awakening’ over fighting sexual assault in the military
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s first move after taking office was to mandate so-called counter-extremism training for the entire military, which involved at least two million man-hours.
A few months later came Mr Biden’s political withdrawal from Afghanistan, the worst day of death for the U.S. military in a decade, the worst humiliation since Vietnam, and the 20th anniversary of 9/11 when the Taliban flag flew across Afghanistan. flew up into the sky.
Just days later, Joe Biden issued mandatory vaccinations, which discharged more than 8,000 patriots from the military. A year later, it suffered the worst recruitment shortage in the history of a volunteer-only army. Hiring numbers will be even worse this year.
The most political Department of Defense in our history is also the least successful in our history. It’s no coincidence.

Hits keep coming. Since March, the Pentagon has spent taxpayers’ money on travel and extra paid leave to get abortions for military personnel and their children, which Congress has neither approved nor appropriated. We are currently recruiting non-binary ambassadors to perform drag queens on Navy ships.
This is not the army my father served patriotically.
To politicize the military would be a tragedy in any country. But the American military is the last non-political organization in our public life, the most effective military known, and, above all, the only one to deter large-scale warfare since 1945. This is particularly tragic as the army of A famous quote by William F. Buckley. , the Nobel Peace Prize should be awarded to the US military every year. The Ukrainian war has already seen the tragic consequences of the failure of deterrence.

If the left successfully completes its long march through our organization and takes over our military, we will lose not only our security, but the rules-based world order that goes with it. deaf. Without a strong US military, America would be in danger and the world would return to the historical norm of violence and the domination of the strong over the weak.
With so many crises looming and so much ground already lost, conservatives in Congress need to confront a politicized Pentagon before they can nostalgia for the days when the American people trusted their military. You have no choice but to fight.
