The Zygon SuperMind brainwave synchronizer and its Behavioral MindScript cassette tape promised to satisfy nearly every human desire. Learn a foreign language, become a better speaker, fight disease, lose weight, quit smoking, experience the afterlife, and even transform into a whale. But… how?

My setup consists of a Brainwave Synchronizer computer and Light Pulse glasses, which I use with my headphones and cassette tape player. All are connected to Brain Synchronizer, allowing you to choose from a list of programs designed to create specific brainwave states through a process called Brainwave Entrainment.

The entrainment process consisted of using the rhythm of external stimuli, such as flashing lights, music, and tactile stimulation, to synchronize brain waves and induce a very specific mental state. SuperMind claimed to be able to achieve four different levels.

  • Beta is measured at 14 to 16 cycles per second and is a state of wakeful consciousness.
  • Alpha is 8-13 cps, relaxed but alert.
  • Theta is 4-8 cps and is associated with creativity and dreams.
  • and delta, 0-4 cps is the deepest stage of sleep.

Therefore, the Supermind was constructed to bring the mind into an ideal state towards the intended goal. Program lengths range from 7 minutes of Quick Charge for Mental Accuracy to 60 minutes of Super Delta Meditation.

Indeed, it is sound That’s cool, but a look at the dozens of lawsuits filed against SuperMind may provide a clue as to how true it is. And while the Zygons called it “entrainment,” critics called it pseudoscience. popular science Host Kevin Lieber took a shot at Supermind, but he ended up feeling the pain.
