The Trump White House has led to rapid change at an unprecedented pace. We have not witnessed anything other than an unraveling America in the deep state. There will also be rocky days once again, but these changes are better. From new institutions to new businesses, there was a call for the need to build a new America. The idea of these leaders is that the status quo is so corrupt and ideological that we have no choice but to construct and rebuild America with our own image.
Perhaps these leaders have never heard of me or anyone else like me. I saw this issue long before President Donald Trump took office. We have lived for so long with government failures from the federal government to the local level, so we don’t know our world without it. What’s worse, their failures are experiencing us and are exposed to poverty, they weaken much of our minds and believe that dependence on government is as normal as the air they breathe. I was unable to do so.
That’s why many years ago I began an effort to bypass the entire governmental device and embrace the true American spirit of regaining fate and putting it into my own hands. We told white liberals, black elitists, socialists and Marxists that we would leave us alone.
I feel that Black History Month will be different this year. And we cannot disrupt the victims
When I first moved to the south side of Chicago in the early 2000s, I began my journey to build a new part of America. Now I’m on the way to build a 90,000-square-foot economic and leadership community center. But that cement, reinforcement, glass and electric wire all mean nothing if the mind is not right.
It is American principles that guide us. The government has taught us about dependence, systemic racism, and victims. Here, in this new building we practice the value of responsibility, accountability, good character, and elasticity to pursue it until it is achieved.
Building this way is a restoration of American principles. Building this way is an American recovery. And building this way is building a strong community that rests on the shoulders of strong individuals.

This type of building is also contagious. When I first announced plans to build this community centre, people laughed and laughed at me. They said, “You can’t beat the system.” They said, “The man will always take you to the end.”
Imagine I listened to them. Where are you today?

But I chose to build. And today, people on South Side Drive at my construction site on King Drive are seeing reality before them. They see the first construction going on on the south side in over 70 years (!).
We’ve seen how this new reality is changing their minds. They have asked me questions. They have questioned their old presumptions. Many people came by my side, including those who once laughed at me, and it’s beautiful. They don’t need to do this poverty, this violence, and this despair.
We now live in an era of unprecedented shake-ups thanks to the new White House. I consider this a gift.
There’s no need to chain it to the old ways that failed.

Our new president said, “I love building.”
Do that. Let’s take this opportunity to build a better America for us today and more importantly for the Americans of the future.
