A technical employee told how she used TikTok to quit her job. Along the way, I realized that the online form I had to fill out to explain why (I thought it would go to HR) was being sent directly to my manager.
Video courtesy of creator @sophiafeliciano5, has amassed over 367,000 views since it hit the platform in February. In it, she details quitting her job, but there’s a bit of a twist to her story.
“OK, so I just spent two weeks at work,” she began, adding: Your girl hated her job,” she added with a little flavor.
“But my boss was like, ‘OK, I need to submit a formal resignation.'” So she did it online and said, truthAnd I was asked to add a comment. ”
@sophiafeliciano5 And when she says “I’m so sad you’re leaving!!!!! I’m glad you’re leaving!!!!” 🙄
“Management has always denied honest and heartfelt feedback from employees.” Employee concerns were not taken seriously, or at least there were no indications. ”
She said, “less than two minutes” after hitting submit on the form, “I got an email back. This resignation has been approved by inserting my supervisor’s name… I have a complete record of my reasons and my comments, and I didn’t know they would go directly to her.
She added that she thought they would be sent to HR, she wondered. Or was it honorable? Like, I read that… I hated bitches, so I was respectful! I could have been meaner.
Her comment posted along with TikTok reads: It was good! ! ! ! ‘”
Commenters provided her support and affirmation.
“Stop it, I love it for you!” One person added, “I think I’m going to spend two weeks on Mondays for the same reason.”
“She needed to hear it!” Another opinion.
Another shared, “My manager saw me hand in my resignation and was too scared to tell her why I quit.”
Yet another said of the act of quitting his job: They quit their manager. ”
Several people stood by during the process she described.
“I work in HR and that exit process is a mess, haha,” said one commenter. “I hope they do a proper exit interview.”
Another respondent in that thread replied: HR department does not exist at all. ”
One HR person said, “As the head of HR, I think you were very respectful. And as long as the comments go directly to her, she needs to hear the feedback.”
The Daily Dot reached out to the creator through comments on TikTok.
