Taylor Swift didn’t let frigid weather stop her from cheering on Travis Kelce during the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins game.
Temperatures at Arrowhead Stadium could drop as low as -3 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chills as low as 40 degrees below zero. All eyes were on Swift, who arrived at a playoff game wearing a jacket to keep warm.
Swift wore a puffy jacket with Kelce’s jersey number, 87, and her name on the back.
Late in the game, Swift was caught by Peacock’s camera, which was watching the game through a window of fog and ice.
In the end, the Chiefs defeated the Dolphins by a final score of 26-7.
The Chiefs-Dolphins matchup was only streamed on Peacock, which required some people to sign up for a streaming service to watch the game. There have been several complaints on social media about people having problems with Peacock not loading or forever buffering.
The social media team running PeacockTVCare on X was responding to customers, but it’s not entirely clear how widespread the issue was.
Weather has been an issue for the NFL this year in the postseason, with the league postponing the game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers.
“I have been in contact with @NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell regarding the dangerous situation in Buffalo this weekend,” New York Governor Kathy Hochul wrote on X. The Bills game is postponed to Monday at 4:30 p.m. ”
The Bills shared a video of conditions at Highmark Stadium, with a heavy layer of snow covering the field.
