Taylor Swift returned to the stage for her Eras Tour at London’s Wembley Stadium on Thursday.
Decked out in sequins and thigh-high boots, she belted out hits from every era in her vast catalogue.
Taylor performed in front of a sold-out crowd at Wembley Stadium, which can accommodate 90,000 fans, and was joined by her friend Ed Sheeran. The pair performed “Everything Has Changed” and “Endgame,” as well as Sheeran’s song “Thinking Out Loud.”
She was absent from boyfriend Travis Kelce, who accompanied her to previous UK shows, as his NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, play a preseason game against the Detroit Lions on Saturday.
Thursday’s concert took place under tight security, after a thwarted terror plot a week earlier led to the cancellation of three planned shows in Vienna.
Extra spoke to Variety’s Jem Aswald, who noted, “There have been some very serious issues surrounding this tour…there was a horrific incident a few weeks ago in the UK where children were stabbed.”
He continued, “The tour has been amazing, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re a little happy that at least this part of the tour is almost over, because nobody wants this to happen.”
But the tour isn’t over yet: Taylor is bringing the tour back to the US later this month, where she’ll be cheering on Travis when the NFL official season gets underway in September.
