On Tuesday night, *NSYNC reunited at the 2023 MTV VMAs!
Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick were introduced by host Nicki Minaj, who said it was the “first time in almost 10 years” that they would be together.
They walked out to the hit song “Bye Bye Bye.”
Fatone told the audience: “I just wanted to say thank you to MTV and especially to all of you. Thank you everyone for always supporting my favorite music artists!”
They handed out the night’s first Best Pop Video award, which went to “Unstoppable” Taylor Swift’s “Antihero.”
Swift went on stage and hugged every member of *NSYNC.
Bass also gave her a friendship bracelet!
While accepting the award, Taylor told his players, “It’s not going to work to pivot from now to here.”
“I had your doll!” Taylor shared, adding, “You are the embodiment of pop, so to receive this from the hands of golden pop is really too much!”
Swift asked in her acceptance speech. What happens next? They’re going to do something, so they need to know what it is. ”
In 2013, they reunited for a performance at the VMAs, where Justin won the Video Vanguard Award.
Rumor has it that they might get together to write a song for the upcoming movie Trolls, starring Justin. Due to the ongoing WGA-SAG strike, the film was not promoted at the show.
