New York lace couture has graced Taunton’s Main Street for over 100 years. Dolores de Melo Milho has been a bridal and gown shop owner for over 30 of his years. “I love to decorate. I love fashionable things.” Milho said he is eager to take over the family business. She’s always full of energy and needs help moving, but she’s still fine. “At five years old, that was where it all started,” she said Milho. She said her difficult battle with COVID-19 inspired her to start a charity that benefits children with muscular dystrophy. I want to give back, and I want to give back to my cause.Outside, Zwickau, who has muscular dystrophy, was riding her mountain bike with skis and mobility aids. Milho said, “Until you live life, no one really understands it. We all deserve recreation. She said she hopes to be a role model.” It’s great to show young children that they can get closer to a normal life.

Mirho said he aspires to take over the family business. She’s always full of energy, she needs help moving, but she’s fine now. She described the beginning of the mobility challenge.
“I was five years old and that’s where it all started. I was tripping and falling. I couldn’t run.”
Milho is a type of muscular dystrophy. She said her difficult battle with COVID-19 inspired her to start a charity that benefits children with muscular dystrophy.
“I was in the hospital for two weeks and it was so bad,” she said.
Milho is raising funds to provide children with the money they need to attend a summer camp run by the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Zwickau, who has muscular dystrophy, loves the outdoors and enjoys skiing and mountain biking with mobility aids.
“I’m not exactly like everyone else, but I can do it even if I’m different,” Zwickau said.
“There are so many limitations when you have a physical disability. No one realizes it until they live it. We all deserve recreation.”
Milho, who is approaching his 60th birthday, diamond galaShe said she hopes to set an example.
“It’s great to show young children that life can be as close to normal as possible,” she said.
