Families with children or anyone who loves living things are invited to Super Science Saturday, an interactive event held at Pet Lifeline on March 11th from 10am to noon.
Marine biologist Becca Kopel, Pets Lifeline humanitarian educator and Sonoma State University graduate student, and local naturalist Lynette Lyon share interesting facts and insights on sustaining life and thriving in nature. Discuss the important role pollinators play.
“It’s a great opportunity to test your bird and bee IQ,” the Sonoma animal shelter shared in a news release.
The morning includes interactive presentations about local pollinators such as birds and hummingbirds, and a birdhouse ‘build and paint’ activity.
Pets Lifeline’s expanding humanitarian education program also includes the 19th Annual Summer Camp, Animal and Reptile Visits in Classrooms, and Girl Scout Visits in Shelters. They all have the common purpose of teaching and promoting kindness and compassion for all living beings.
The event is free to attend, but there is a $25 fee for each hive kit attendees can take home.To register, please visit petslifeline.org/supersciencesaturday.
Pets Lifeline is located at 19686 Eighth St. E.
