Stephen Curry once again cemented his legacy as the greatest shooter in NBA history. During the Golden State Warriors’ dominant 130-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings, Curry became the first player to make 4,000 career three-pointers.
The historic shot took place in the third quarter, with Curry performing fake, dribbling and smooth releases of the Signature Pump. The Warriors celebrated the moment with a video message from former teammate Andris Biedlyn. Looking back at the milestone, Curry said
“It was a special moment to feel that energy and allow them to enjoy that milestone and achievement with me.”
Curry ended with a modest 11 points, but his impact on the game could not be denied. His achievements add another chapter to the already legendary career that redefines modern games.
Stephen A record-breaking journey of curry
When Curry joined the league, no player reached 3,000 3-pointers. Now he counts alone at 4,000. His rule is evident in the record book:
- The best leader of 3 pointers ever (counts 4,000)
- While ranked 13th in the 3-point percentage of his career, he takes much more shots than he does
- Holds 26 of the 104 NBA games with at least 10 3-pointers
- Owned 5 of the seven seasons in NBA history with over 300 3-pointers
Curry continues to crush expectations by passing Ley Allen’s long-standing record in 2021 to 2,973 bottles. He recently became the 26th player in NBA history with over 25,000 career points.
With the Warriors thriving since signing Jimmy Butler, the question isn’t whether curry will continue to make history. It’s how much he can push the limits of long-range shooting. Director Steve Kerr jokingly suggested the next milestone: “8000.” That number may seem impossible, but if anyone can do it, it’s Steph Curry.
