Payment Schedule for SSDI recipients since before 1997
If you were an SSDI recipient before May 1997, your payment will arrive on the 3rd of each month.
There are exceptions: If the 3rd of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, payments will be made on the nearest business day. For example, March 3 was a weekend, so some SSDI recipients received their payments two days early, on March 1.

- If your birthday falls between the 11th and 20th of any month, your payment will be made on the third Wednesday of that month.
- If your birthday falls between the 21st and 31st of any month, your payment will be made on the fourth Wednesday of that month.
