Now in its 11th year, Southampton Fest draws attendees from all over New York and features a weekend of arts and crafts, live entertainment, amusements, shopping, pumpkins, a popular chowder contest, and more from September 29th to 10th. More events will be held until the 1st of the month. .
The weekend kicks off with a lively cocktail party featuring live music and complimentary beer and wine from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Southampton Arts Center, followed by a lively cocktail party hosted by the Southampton Rotary Club until 9:30pm There will be a cash bar.tickets are available here.
Saturday is an all-day event with events taking place throughout The Village. Bands will perform at Agawam Park and the Southampton Arts Center, as well as a popular chowder contest featuring food from local restaurants, caterers and food trucks. Jim the Clown will be performing and creating balloon animals, sponsored by Rogers Memorial Library/Friends of the Library.
Hampton Flea and Vintage offers a market fair where you can curate unique treasures and buy special finds to take home. The Southampton Village Fire Department also provides hook-and-ladder trucks with the opportunity to climb to great heights. In addition to ladders, we also provide gifts for children and information for everyone.
The Southampton Village Police Department will host “Coffee with the Cops.” This is your chance to ask what police officers are doing to keep your community safe. Learn about the North Sea Maritime Center as kids and adults interact with the live marine life touch tank provided by East End Explorer. The Southampton Ice Rink will have a synthetic rink where kids can practice their slap shot, and there will be prizes and prizes on offer. Tarot Tauk will be offering tarot readings and Reiki sound baths on the steps of Southampton Arts Center. Southampton Arts Center will be equipped with 360-degree cameras to capture Instagram-worthy moments.
The Art + Design Walk will be held with participating galleries and stores, encouraging participants to visit Southampton’s many art galleries and design stores. Pick up your card at the Chamber of Commerce and participating stores/galleries and mark your card at each stop to enter to win a grand prize package. Southampton History Museum’s Pelletrow Silver Shop will open its doors to guests with jewelery making workshops and the story of Southampton’s silversmithing.
Tours of the historic cemetery on North Main Street, as well as sidewalk sales and tastings at village shops and restaurants, will be held throughout the village. The Heart of the Hamptons Polar Bear Scavenger Hunt is a self-guided tour through the Village. Prizes will be available at First Presbyterian Church from noon to 4 p.m. First Presbyterian Church will also have arts and crafts and games for children.
The Southampton Artists Association, a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for professional and amateur artists throughout the East End to exhibit their work, will be on display and for sale on Saturday. Southampton Village Trustee Robyn Brown is organizing a magical music event called ‘The Sound of Art’ across Southampton Village with local high school musicians in various art galleries to explore what art means to them. The Southampton African American Museum offers tours of the museum, including an exhibit titled “On Display: Tariq Shikhwar, Making Space: One of These Black Boys.” The Southampton Cultural Center will exhibit ‘Icelandic Poetry’, a photograph by Ron Buchter and Keith A. Mannin. Southampton Art Center opens its doors for one last chance to view the exhibition ‘Change Her Agents: Women Collectors Shaping the Art World’.
On Sundays, Agawam Park hosts the popular Chamber of Commerce Farmers Market, featuring local produce and delicious treats.
