Students had the opportunity to experience the Big Apple from April 8 to 10, 2024, visiting the headquarters of more than a dozen companies, observing a solar eclipse, and attending a Yankees game.

Second-year business fellows spent a three-day visit to New York City investigating the inner workings of major corporations, gaining insight into a variety of financial and business landscapes.
A highlight of the Business Fellows’ trip was a networking event hosted by Jack Ryan, Chief Administrative Officer of Rockefeller Capital Management. Throughout the evening, the business fellows networked with approximately 20 alumni from various business organizations.
During their visit to the city, fellows completed office tours, attended presentations, and spoke with company representatives.
“Visiting BlackRock headquarters gave me a glimpse into the high-stakes world of finance and enhanced my academic knowledge through real-world trading experience and valuable networking with top industry experts. ” said Ben Sykes, ’26, a finance and business analysis major at Linfield College. mass.
“We visited many companies, including EY, PwC, BlackRock, KPMG, and Bloomberg,” said Mia Robinson ’26, an accounting major from Franklin, Massachusetts. “I was also able to network with other Elon alumni about their time at each company and their background.” Their Elon experience contributed to their success at work. ”
This experience clarified many students’ paths after graduation and highlighted the Elon Network’s role in promoting student success.

Faculty from the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business and staff from the Porter Family Professional Development Center guided the fellows on company visits and city tours. During company visits, fellows met with more than 70 alumni.
The fellows had a free day with 89% of the total solar eclipse visible in the city. On the final day, several fellows visited Yankee Stadium to watch the Miami Marlins game in New York.
