Last month, a video of Sonu Sued sitting by a moving train door went viral. Northern Railway has accused him of sending the wrong message to the country.

Grace Cyril: Sonu Sood may have become popular for his kindness during the Covid-19 pandemic, but parts of him have been bashed on social media. A video the actor himself shared on social media shows him sitting on the footboard of a moving train door. And now the Northern Railway also denounces Sonu Sud as dangerous.

The now viral video was shared by Sonu Sood on December 13th. In the 22-second clip, Sood sits perilously by the door of a moving train, holding on to the railing outside. He looked out and sat precariously on tiptoes.

On January 4, Northern Railway’s Twitter account blamed Sonu Soud for this, calling him a role model for the people of India and his videos would give the country the wrong message.
“Dear @SonuSood, you are a role model for millions of people in your country and around the world. Navigating stairs on trains is dangerous.This kind of video can send the wrong message to your fans. Don’t do this! Enjoy! Smooth and safe journey (sic),” tweeted the official Northern Railway Twitter account.

Earlier, the Mumbai Railway Police Commission also warned Sonu Soud that it was dangerous and should not be done in practice.
