Mr Teng said last year’s summit had support from ASEAN countries and for the first time had participation from all regional countries. He saw it as a “good sign” that other states are looking at the summit as a national platform rather than just a Selangor event.
“Regionally, we have participation from the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand, and we are looking to have pavilions for as many ASEAN companies as possible, which is our goal,” he said.
This year, SIBS will continue its role as the region’s premier summit for local and international industry players to gather and explore the great potential of Malaysian and regional markets.
SIBS will launch an ASEAN roadshow starting in May, visiting major cities to raise awareness and interest in the summit, attracting a range of businesses and individuals to the event.
