The 4th Convocation Ceremony of Sharda University of India will be held on Thursday 19th November 2020 inside Anand Swaroop Auditorium (Block 45) at the Center for Student Activities in mixed mode for 2018-19 and 2019-20 graduates was held. Only PhD holders and medal winners were allowed to physically attend. The rest of the students and their parents were able to watch the ceremony via live feeds on YouTube and Facebook.

Sangma, Dr RP Singh and Secretary General of India Quality Council. Notable guests were Shri Dinesh Chandra Ji, Patron, VHP and Shri Ramlal Ji, Akhil Bhartiya Sah-SamparkPramukh, RSS.
The university has awarded 57 PhDs, 6 Rector’s medals, 3 Vice-Rector’s medals, 26 gold medalists and 5051 degrees to students from various fields.
The Registrar started the convocation with the permission of Honorary Chancellor Shri PK Gupta, followed by the choir song “Hey Sharde Ma” and the presentation of the annual report by Honorary Vice Chancellor of Sharda University. The vice-chancellor said that Sharda University has more than 13,000 students to date, of which about 18% are international students belonging to more than 85 countries, and the university has a healthy gender ratio with 40% female students and staff. Maintains and tunes scholarships for the 2019-20 academic year at INR 8.59 crore. The university maintains her NIRF rank in the 151 to 200 bandwidth for her three consecutive years and regularly conducts co-curricular activities such as soft skills, NCC and NSS to enhance students’ socio-economic awareness. Dr. Ravi Prakash Singh, Secretary General, Quality Council of India and Mr. Sri Konrad Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya, were awarded the ‘Honorary Award’ at the 4th Convocation Ceremony held at Sharda University . Honorary awards are given to prominent individuals who have made significant contributions to a cause, based on their area of expertise.
India’s youngest prime minister, Sri Konrad Sammaji, congratulated the students and thanked the Sharda University for the honor bestowed upon him. He said that the youth of this country have common strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to this country and that efforts to channel the power of youth so that this power can be used constructively for the sake of the country. He said, “If your vision is one year, plant a flower; if your vision is ten years, plant a tree; and your vision is eternal.” Then plant people.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokriyal Nishank Ji was also awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Philosophy “Honours” at the convocation. The Prime Minister also stressed that the whole country will change rapidly with the new National Education Policy-2020 implemented by the Government under his supervision.He then commemorated to his Shri Dinesh Chandra Ji, Patron of VHP The item was donated.
Shri Ramlal Ji, India co-liaison officer of RSS, said Sharda University is known for its unity in diversity, and said the convocation ceremony was a stepping stone to a new phase in life. He asked his students to stay positive, stay focused on their goals, and work hard to reach them. Because when you stop learning, you stop growing in life. He called for following the “National First” mantra and spreading this motto as widely as possible so that everyone should follow it.
Sharda University Chancellor PK Gupta said that the internationalization of education is not for profit, but for the ‘Nation First’ policy pointed out by Sri Ramlal Gee. He emphasized the importance of people-to-people relationships to build economy and trust. Also, international students are our guests, and when they return with an understanding of Indian culture, education, and most importantly people, the relationships formed in this way will change the world. Other countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, already have large numbers of qualified students and benefit from this student-to-student connection. He was confident that the Indian economy would bounce back from the current situation and see his GDP growth rate of 15% to 20% in the near future.
The evening ended with the Honorable Vice Chancellor’s words of appreciation and the singing of the Indian National Anthem.
The university has already informed that students can receive their degrees and certificates (physical mode) from their respective schools after December 1, 2020 after mentioning their registration number.
