One server said she learned the man she was dating had a wife after they came to the restaurant where she worked to celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary.
To make matters even more complicated, a couple were sitting at one of her tables, so she had to attend to them all night. She said she did everything she could to make the man feel uncomfortable, but she posted a storytime video on TikTok that made viewers think she should have taken revenge a step further. in her videohas been viewed more than 19,000 times in less than a day. Cassey (@casseysjourney) said she met the man at a bar. They exchanged phone numbers, went on two dates, and continued their conversation.
“But then he brought his wife to the restaurant where I worked,” she says.
Kathy said the man didn’t know she worked there. “The universe intervened and I just happened to be given their table,” she says.
Kathy said that after the couple was seated in their section, the man was sweating and appeared nervous. “I realized that I had an advantage in this situation,” she says.
She said she did everything she could to “make the situation as awkward as possible” for him.
“I complimented his wife,” she says. “I told my girlfriend how beautiful she was, because she really was.”
Kathy said she asked her wife how long they had been together. “‘Oh, today is our fourth wedding anniversary,'” she recalls her wife telling her.
Cassie looks shocked as she stares into the camera. “So this woman has spent a lot of time with this man?” she says.
Kathy said that when she told her co-workers what was happening, they “started staring at this guy every time I walked by the table.”
“I just stare at him, shaking my head,” Kathy demonstrates.
At the end of the meal, Kathy wrote “Happy Anniversary” on the card she handed out and dropped the check on the table.
“‘You have such a wonderful wife, and I hope you both have the best marriage ever,’ she recalls telling the man. ‘I’d love to see you again next year. Please, I’ll do it again.”
Kathy said she believed the man had been waiting to expose her all along and refrained from doing so because he “didn’t want to do that to her.”
According to Kathy, the man tipped her 100% of the cost of that night’s meal. “We all joked that it was like hush money for him,” she added.
She ended the video by saying she went to her usual bar and hasn’t seen the man since. “I think he learned his lesson,” she says.
Some viewers criticized Cassie’s decision not to tell his wife. “So you didn’t do anything to help her girlfriend,” TikToker @kedvicious3 said.
“You had the opportunity to save her years of wasted time that she could have spent with him… you should have told her that. I regret wasting that time,” @ jilly.w4 added.

Kathy defends herself, saying she’s a single mother of three, just moved into an apartment, and can’t afford to lose her job. “If things had gone differently, we would have run into each other at a bar somewhere,” Kathy says.
“I didn’t want to jeopardize the scene,” she added.
Kathy stressed that she understands viewers’ frustrations because the same thing happened to her in her previous marriage. “But again, we didn’t want to complicate it any more,” she says.
One viewer defended Cassie, saying: “You handled the situation perfectly. I really hope your wife saw this.”
Another supporter said: “You did the right thing. It gave him something to think about when he left the restaurant.”
