Extra’s Megan Wright was with Saweetie as she was honored at the Hip Hop America: Mixtape exhibit at the Grammy Museum.
Since arriving on the hip-hop scene four years ago, Saweetie has garnered industry attention with multiple platinum hits. She also attracts fans with her eye-catching fashion!
Saweetie credited the hip-hop legend, saying, “I think Lil’ Kim…the wig…the fur…I love how innocent she is…I don’t know what you’re going to get from her. She’s got cancer, there. I’m a girl with cancer!
Saweetie is known for her rapid-fire, sizzling rhymes…and her sparkling acrylic paintings, which will be unveiled for the first time at the Grammy Museum celebrating 50 years of hip-hop.
“Something a little sparkly, something pretty, something light,” Saweetie said while showing off her nails.
“I thought, ‘I can’t believe it,'” Saweetie said of seeing the nails in the exhibit. It’s right in front of Tupac’s letter…I’m like, ‘Okay, it’s the West Coast in the building, baby! ‘It’s like that.’
She continued, “It feels surreal looking around at all the artifacts and I can’t believe I’m in the same place as so many of these names, but hey, I’m here, baby! ” he continued.
