A TikTok user went viral after sharing a free sample machine he found on Sam’s Club.
In a video that had over 3.7 million views as of Saturday, TikTok user Brandy (@inkdmomma84) shows the machine in action.
The video will start after the samples have already been requested. After about 40 seconds, her bag of “Little Bites” muffins falls out of the machine and is immediately removed.

the machine in question is “freesk”
According to the company, website, Freeosk works by customers scanning a QR code with the app. Once the code is recognized, Freeosk will distribute the current offering.
Freeosk says there are machines in Sam’s Club as well as other shopping districts such as Safeway and Albertsons.
A number of commentators under Brandy’s video pointed out that the machine was not new, with some claiming they had seen machines like this at their local Sam’s Club for years.
Throughout the comments section, many users complained about long wait times for packets to be distributed.
“It took an insane amount of time,” wrote the user.
“Waiting too long. Already moved to another machine,” said another user.
“Machine told me that work is really slow at this minimum wage,” joked a third.
However, Brandy points out in the comments that the machine may have just warmed up, as he didn’t experience similar latency when he took another sample.
“My boyfriend did it so quickly I think I needed to warm up but I threw up right away[t]’, she elaborated.
That said, other users shared negative experiences they had with similar machines.
“My Sam’s and Walmart have had them for years but they always sound like they’re about to explode on their last legs and take 10 years to dispense anything,” user claimed Did.
“My ad showed me 18 ads before popping up just to say ‘nothing left today,'” claimed another user.
“My Sam’s Club had one of those and they gave out candy canes at Christmas. It took forever and after being refreshed I said I already got a sample. I couldn’t,” another TikToker said.
But some thought the machine idea was a good one.
“Honestly, it’s kind of clever, so people don’t just sit there and take a bunch of them in seconds,” one user said.
In a TikTok direct message conversation with The Daily Dot, Brandy said he had never seen these machines before recording the video.
“People have commented that it’s been around for years, but we’ve never seen it,” she wrote.
She also mentioned that she faced similar issues with her machine, as did some commenters.
“We tried the last few times we stopped in and they were out of order. Three different stores on three different days,” she detailed.
As long as you actually get the treats, the process is easy, she said.
“I just scanned my Sam’s club membership in the app and it asked for my email…and the process you saw was [in the video],” she explained. “My boyfriend did it right after my daughter spat, right after the scans and emails came in … there were no weird sounds or ‘warming up.’ ”
Brandi said commentators were overreacting when it came to wait times.
“It hasn’t been that long… people are just impatient,” she said. “We thought it was kind of cool, but we definitely prefer having live people there. I didn’t mind having a whole mini muffin.
