Rosie O’Donnell is celebrating the marriage of her son, Blake O’Donnell, to longtime love Teresa Garofalou Westervelt.
On Friday, O’Donnell’s youngest son, 24-year-old Blake We exchanged vows with Westervelt before partying in front of family and friends.
Blake looked dapper in a white tuxedo jacket and black pants with a black tie, while Teresa had her hair up and wore a beautiful white gown with floral lace.
One photo O’Donnell posted to Instagram shows the couple dancing in a dreamy setting made even more romantic by the addition of dry ice.
O’Donnell wore a pale green suit with floral embroidery as she danced with Blake to Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time.” “If you’re lost, just look and you’ll find me. Again and again. Our mother and son dance song,” she captioned a photo of the mother and son, adding in another post, “Lots of love .”
She’d been promoting the ceremony, which took place on the same day as her best friend Madonna’s 66th birthday, all week with pictures of herself getting ready, after excitedly commenting the day before: “He’s getting married in the morning!!!!!”
Rosie announced their engagement in December 2022. Given her love of Broadway and the time she spent there, it was fitting that O’Donnell’s son proposed during a performance of The Phantom of the Opera, which happened to be the same night that Hillary Clinton was in the audience.
This happy couple has been together for over seven years, but they actually met on Instagram! “I sent you a direct message 5 years ago and I’m so grateful that you didn’t ignore me,” he wrote on Instagram in 2021.
Rosie, 62, has five children – four with former partner Kelly Carpenter and one with ex-wife Michelle Lowndes, who committed suicide in 2017.
