Robin Givens and her son Billy stopped by “Extra” where Billy Bush sewed them together.
He said, “Today it’s Robin Givens’ Billy Sandwich. We welcome the mother and son duo.” “Her son Billy,” he then pointed to himself, joking, “Billy is her best friend.”
Robin’s son joked as they laughed. “You guys should get a room.”
Eventually, the mother-son duo set out to create a new holiday movie for BET+.
Robin directed “Favorite Son Christmas” and revealed that it’s a story about Christmas and trying to save “the relationship between two brothers who are missing their father.”
At just 24 years old, Billie directed “Christmas Rescue,” about a Christmas bride who is kidnapped at the altar by her childhood sweetheart.
Givens explained that he started writing the script about 10 years ago, but “then I put it on the shelf and gave up.”
When her son asked if he could try it, Robin said: [took] I tried it twice and it sold within a week. ”
Speaking about his success as a writer and director at such a young age, Billy added: “Her mother wanted me to go to law school. I’m glad it didn’t work out.”
His mother replied: It’s like he was supposed to do this. ”
“Favorite Son Christmas” and “Christmas Rescue” air tonight on BET+.
