Rob Lowe is one of the busiest men in Hollywood, with two hit Fox shows, “The Floor” and “9-1-1: Lone Star.”
Terry Seymour from “Extra” was with Rob in La Fayce. Rob explained how “9-1-1: Lone Star” is helping with fire relief efforts.
He said, “One of the things that I’m so glad we did with ‘Lone Star’ is the ability to raise money through the show. I think we’ve raised $3 million for the Red Cross, and that’s in the last 10 days. People are generous and everyone will rebuild eventually. ”
Lowe noted that his brother Chad Lowe lost his home in the fire that destroyed Pacific Palisades and Altadena.
He said, “My brother and all his friends and neighbors lost everything in Palisades. So to put a family through that, you can’t imagine it. Literally thousands of… people are lost all. So we’re going through it as a family. That is, he will recover. He has insurance. We are among the lucky ones. it’s okay. But some people don’t. ”
After five seasons, “9-1-1: Lone Star” will air its series finale on February 3.
Rob, who plays a firefighter on the show, said: “It’s a real part of my life. It’s always bittersweet when the show ends.”
Lowe continued. “Season/series finales are very difficult things. People have been invested in a show for five years and they have to land a plane. About how Owen Strand and all the characters come out into the sunset. , we spent a lot of time on it. In the end, I think we made the right decision. I’m really happy with Owen’s final chapter.”
Rob also cooked on his game show, “The Floor.” It is premiering its third season on February 9th, right after Super Bowl Lix on Fox.
He commented: It’s so sick! That’s how you know the show works when they give you a Super Bowl time slot. ”
Rob also praised longtime pal Demi Moore, who just nabbed an Oscar nomination and recently won a Golden Globe for her work in “Substance.”
Rob attacked her moment of victory. “Best speech of the night. I was so proud and so proud. It’s so satisfying to see your friends and colleagues and the people you finally got their due. I think we met when we were 20 years old and did two movies together.
He confirmed that a sequel is “definitely happening,” adding, “We’re waiting for the scripts to come in, so as soon as they’re done, we’ll be cracking.”
When asked about the possibility of him and Demi doing a sequel to “About Last Night,” Rob declared, “You never know!” He said, “There were two scripts done at one point, but they never really put it together. So who knows?”
