Recently they texted me about “St. John’s Church.” Sequel to “Elmo’s Fire”!
he said: It’s going a little slower than I would have liked, but that’s good because we’re trying to find the right writers and the right stories. But the actors are all on board. Everyone’s excited. ”
Lowe said of the original work: Will we ever have the same deep friendships we had after college and in our early twenties? Will it last our lives? And where are we headed now that we’ve really grown up? ”
Regarding the sequel, Lowe said, “I think the theme of “St. Paul” is as follows.” Today’s “Elmo Fire” is that it’s never too late to be happy. You know, our kids aren’t in school, some of us may have gotten divorced… At our age, you have to deal with all that. This is an opportunity to explore those themes with characters people know and love. ”
He added: Hopefully you’ll be able to pull it off. ”
