Sasquatch Sunset is a strange but tender film starring Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg as the furry protagonists and depicting the secret life of a family of Sasquatch wandering the forests of North America.
Riley, Jesse, and co-star Christophe Zajac-Dennec spoke to Extra’s Mona Kosar Abdi about the film and attending Sasquatch School, which teaches movement and communication.
Keogh said of the film, “It was very funny, but also really beautiful and surprisingly moving. I remember getting to the end and thinking, “This is a difficult thing to achieve.”
Regarding “school,” she added: “We had a little rehearsal period, and that was really helpful because we had to think about our Sasquatch language and what certain sounds meant and how we interacted with each other and things like that. Because I was able to do it.”
Then I sat in that thick suit and Bigfoot makeup chair for two hours every day.
Jesse said, “It was very uncomfortable to perform…I had glue all over my face and hair everywhere…I’m not complaining about not being able to eat, but I didn’t feel very comfortable.” It was like no big deal,” he said. to do. ”
“We often checked on each other…If anyone needed it, we had a blend of soup available for them to drink through a straw,” Kristoff said.
Reilly recalls: “I felt like I had been working out all day. So I kind of stopped and said, ‘Are you OK?'”
She continued, “It was hard walking. I mean, walking across a field, you’d be out of breath from drinking electrolytes. Physically, it was really hard.”
Regarding going to the bathroom while wearing a suit, Keogh said, “I have to go to the bathroom. It’s like the whole five-person project is unzipped…It’s like two people pulling their arms. “…” he said.
Jesse joked, “Someone’s holding our feet while we wait.”
Kristoff added with a laugh. “We’ve never talked about this.”
“Sasquatch Sunset” will be released on April 12th.
