Arrival Ambruger Alm It is an adventure itself, and it is a journey that combines the charm of modern engineering with the beauty of Tyrol’s mountains. Our adventure began by walking to Altoshtat station in Nortquettenbernen. From there, I got on a cable car and moved quickly to the middle of the mountain, and I was able to see the magnificent scenery of the city.



Our last process was a 40 -minute uphill hiking along the forest of the forest from Hunagerburg, but as the altitude increased, it was sometimes interrupted by moving the ice carefully.

We felt that we had lunch with a short mountain climbing, and enjoyed the perfect dish for a cheerful day in the mountains. The wiener Schnitzel (pork), which was frying in a frying pan until the perfect golden color, was accompanied by delicious potatoes and bird salads (this is a direct translation, a bite -sized part) and cranberries.


The Swevine Skov sandwich with plenty of soft pork and spicy western wasabi mayonnaise was delicious and crispy and refreshing. I also tasted a hearty pasta dish and salad, but they were all cooked with affection and attention.

Behind the scenes of this experience were the host SONJA and TOMAS. Thomas, the face of the house in the front of the house, welcomed us with the cheerful transmission and felt very welcomed. His warm hospitality was probably comparable to Sonya’s kitchen skills.

It was pretty quiet during our visit, so I was able to enjoy the wonderful environment of Ambrugler Alum while drinking drinks outdoors. Thomas’ calm presence has determined the atmosphere. His English was limited, but it was far exceeding our German. And he was always friendly, kind and welcomed. The internal dining area is a masterpiece of architecture with a panoramic window that perfectly, a beautiful, modern, modest space with plenty of natural light falling.

The price of the appetizer is from 10 euros (bacon and green onions) to 20 euros. The main dishes, such as Schnitzel and Schwine Skov sandwiches, are usually about 20 euros. Special environment alone is worth the price, but the quality of the dishes is more than that.

A journey to the Ambrusor Alm is not just enjoying a delicious meal. You can have a fun day from the moment you step into the trail. The environment, the stunning architecture, and the warm hospitality of Thomas are the best services. And our day did not end there. We regained energy and supplemented sufficient nutrition, returned the road to the cable car and continued to climb to the top of Nortokette.




The view from there was a perfect finale for our small adventure, as far as the city spreading below.
