Adler’s Hotel Innsbruck is a place where contradictions collide in the most fascinating ways. A modern designed lighthouse in the center of Innsbruck. The place features a minimalist interior surrounded by jagged, snow-covered peaks. At the rooftop bar, you can enjoy a glass of wine while admiring the fairy-tale scenery. story. Innsbruck itself is a city of contrasts, where historic cobblestone streets meet the sharp, modern edge of a thriving ski culture, and Adlers perfectly reflects this. But does it live up to its promise of being a gateway to both luxury and adventure? Let’s take a closer look.

welcome
First impressions are everything, and Adlers knows it. From the moment you step into the sophisticated ground floor reception, the staff greets you with efficiency without sacrificing warmth. Although we had arrived on a very early flight, we were able to leave our luggage and explore the city and check into our room later when we returned.
room
The hotel has 79 rooms and is located on the top floor of the building. We are in rooms 712 and 716 (Panorama Classic Category) on the 7th floor. If ever a hotel room was designed to remind you that you’re in the Alps, this is it. The rooms at Adlers are an ode to their surroundings, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame Innsbruck like a living postcard.

Waking up to the view of the Nordkötte Mountains is a humbling experience, one that allows you to truly appreciate the natural beauty surrounding the city. The interior design of the 25 square meter room is refreshingly contemporary, featuring clean lines and earthy tones, with enough upholstery to keep you comfortable.

And what about the bed? It’s incredibly comfortable and you won’t have to fight with your partner over the duvet. In Austria, it is common to use separate duvets for each person.

The view from the room can only be described as stunning. Below, Innsbruck’s colorful buildings line the streets, their bright facades standing out against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains.

Roads, trams and railways stretch across the city, creating a dynamic contrast between city life and the tranquil Alpine mountains. It is a view that perfectly captures the unique blend of nature and modernity that characterizes Innsbruck, and is a constant reminder of the majestic landscape that surrounds the city.

bathroom
ADLERS private bathrooms are modern, elegant and equipped with everything you need. It is bright and has a panoramic mirror, sink, toilet and spacious walk-in shower. Unlike, Englandwhere wiring regulations are more stringent, it is common in many European countries, including Austria, to have electrical outlets in bathrooms, and here is no exception.

Adler’s brand body lotion and liquid hand soap line either side of the basin. Hair dryer and slippers are neatly placed on the bottom shelf, and bathrobes are also provided on request if you want to go to the spa.

The rainfall shower is especially refreshing and one of the most powerful I’ve stayed at in numerous hotels around the world. Hair and body shampoo from Natural Remedies, a premium body care line developed by nearby ADA Cosmetics. Germanycan be conveniently wall-mounted inside the shower.

Everything you need to plan your 2024 trip
facility
The highlight of Adler’s property is undoubtedly the rooftop bar and restaurant located on the 12th floor. It offers panoramic views far beyond the city and is a popular spot for both guests and locals.

Weitsicht Restaurant’s menu offers a modern and versatile dining experience, combining regional Tyrolean cuisine with international influences. All steaks are dry-aged and sourced from the trusted Tyrolean butcher Gunter from A la Carte in Heiming, 50 kilometers west of Innsbruck.

The black garlic cream soup with shrimp was especially delicious. The wild salmon with gin, cucumber, sesame and ponzu sauce was also great.

For mains, we recommend the duck duet with red cabbage and rosemary potatoes or the Hokkaido pumpkin squash with salmon.

Seasonal desserts also change from time to time. If you can, you can’t go wrong with “mandel and choco” (almond and chocolate) with honey ice cream.

The hotel also has its own spa with a relaxation area with stunning views. You can come up here and relax, sit and read a book, or simply admire the scenery in front of you.

There is also a sauna and steam room, but as is Austrian custom, nudity is required. Of course, if you find this aspect of the spa un-British, you can refrain from using it.

place
Few hotels boast a better location than ADLERS. Located in the center of Innsbruck, just a few steps from the main train station, it offers the perfect setting for exploring both the city and the mountains. It’s just a short walk from the charming golden-roofed Old Town, but close enough to the ski lifts to make a morning on the slopes a total breeze. This means that everything beautiful Innsbruck has to offer is right on your doorstep.

Other nice touches
Each room has a tea/coffee maker and a small fridge. Free bottled water is replenished daily.

cost
Panorama Classic rooms are very reasonably priced, starting from 111 euros per night.
At the other end of the room category, the Panoramic Presidential Suite starts at €749 per night.

the best part
For me it’s a great view. What truly elevates Adler’s is its sense of place. As Innsbruck’s tallest hotel, it feels so connected to the mountains that it feels woven into the fabric of Innsbruck itself. It’s rare and wonderful for a hotel to feel so connected to its surroundings.
final verdict
Adler’s Hotels don’t just offer a place to sleep, they also offer an experience. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, it feels like everything that makes Innsbruck special is being celebrated: the mountains, the culture, the seamless blend of old and new. Certainly modern, certainly very comfortable, but more than that, very relaxing. Whether you’re staying in Innsbruck for adventure, relaxation, or simply soaking up the beauty of the Alps, ADLERS is a solid, unstuffy option to comfortably spend your time in the city.
