On January 21, 2025, President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance attended Prayer for the Nation service at the National Cathedral.
As a believer, I attended the service to pray for the success of our country, President Trump, his family, and the Trump administration.
I intentionally left the church service early after realizing that the pulpit was being used for left-wing activities seeking God’s will and wisdom rather than true worship of God. Mr. President, what I appealed to you in worship was political, not biblical.
Bishop who preached to Trump defends incendiary sermon: “Why isn’t it being used politically?”
When we tolerate lies, we are empowering distortions of the truth. The time has come for all believers to stand up, line up at the exit, and walk away from worship services where the full counsel of Biblical truth has been distorted.
Many people know about our founding faith and the influence of the Bible on our nation. Even as recently as the 1950s, President Eisenhower and Congress declared “In God We Trust” the nation’s motto and added “One Nation Under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance.
President Eisenhower, a man of faith, aspired to this path from an early age, when his prayers saved him from death after his leg became infected and had to be amputated. The Lord answered these prayers and saved young Eisenhower’s feet, thus putting the future president on track to attend West Point and become Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces during World War II. If President Eisenhower had amputated his leg, this would never have happened.
Trump slams bishop as ‘radical left-wing hardliner who hates Trump’ after politically charged service
In 1953, President Eisenhower admitted that he was not the first to say these words, but said, “I have pinned the greatness of the United States on its vast harbors, its rich rivers, its fertile fields, and its endless forests.” , that was not the case.” There…I looked for it in her democratic Congress and her unparalleled Constitution, but it wasn’t until I went to an American church and heard her pulpit blaze with righteousness that It didn’t exist. I understand the secret of her genius and power. Because America is good, and if America ceased to be good, America would cease to be great! ”
we must make america great again
Unfortunately, a day after President Trump promised that his administration would “not forget our God,” Bishop Marian-Edgar Boudet distorted the truth and called the National Prayer Service for political fame and selfish gain. He took advantage of his position at the meeting. The Bible teaches that God created humans as male and female (Genesis 1:27), and that you must go to someone privately before speaking to them in public (Matthew 18:15- 17), and by ignoring the Bible’s teaching that we must obey the Law (Romans 13:1-3), Budde ignored the truth of the Bible.
In his sermon, Budde quoted a Bible verse often used in left-wing arguments: “We must have mercy on strangers.” To understand this verse, you must understand this word stranger In the full meaning taken from the original Hebrew.

This particular Hebrew word is specifically used to describe foreigners who fully follow the customs and culture of their country of refuge. Illegal immigrants are not following the laws of the country; they are against the laws.

Ecclesiastes 8:11 warns us not to ignore violations of the law and, in effect, says, “When the law is not enforced, the hearts of men are tempted to do more evil.” Let us not forget the murders, rapes, and mob violence that our lawless southern border has perpetuated.
Leftists often ignore such teachings, take the Bible out of context, and use half-truths to justify their politics. Don’t fall into this trap. A half truth always becomes a complete lie.

During Budde’s preaching, the pulpit did not raise the flame of righteousness, but instead promoted principles that inherently contradicted Biblical truth.
If we want to restore our homeland to one nation under God, we must speak the truth in love. Love without truth is not real love.
