The 2025 Tony Awards featured the performance of Hamilton’s 10th Annual Reunion!
Mona Cosar Abdi from “Extra” spoke with the cast of the red carpet, including Rene Elise Goldsbury, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Leslie Odom Jr., Davede Diggs, Emmy Larber Rapman and Christopher Jackson.
Goldsbury, who played Angelica Skyler in the musical, said she cried out that “a spontaneous tear of joy” was back together and that she also felt “thank you for the family’s reunion.” She said she is still the daily Skyler sister of her life, but someone had to remember her notes of harmony!
She shared a red carpet reunion with her co-star Jasmine Sefa Jones, who portrayed Peggy Shuiler.
Jasmine squirted to Mona about how much she likes to come back to the whole cast, feeling like it was high school.
Leslie Odom Jr., aka Aaron Burr, said it was amazing to be back with the original Broadway cast and that they were really saying “Let’s pack the whole show” to celebrate it and fan support.
Couples Davede Diggs and Emmy Leber Rapman met while working on “Hamilton.” Davedo played Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, while Emmy was part of the ensemble and also a learning experience.
While talking to Mona they marveled at the way everything felt different, but Emmy shared the share that her face hurts with a laugh. Davedo echoed that the reunion was everything he wanted. Moreover, they are now parents and have come to see all his “Hamilton” aunts and uncles on their son!
Christopher Jackson, known for his performance by George Washington, teased that the rehearsal was “the most incredible four days of my decade,” and that they chose to choose a slightly different concept and didn’t go back to their original outfits.
